Chester Bennington Returns To Linkin Park On AI Song

AI is revolutionizing the music industry by providing innovative ways to create, produce, distribute, and consume music, but not everyone is on board just yet. A lot of music has dropped recently which has been scrutinized for being too real while also being way too fake.

In the past few weeks, we have seen Drake and The Weeknd both have music pulled that used AI to put them on tracks. After that, an AI called ‘AISIS‘ made an entire Oasis album that was entirely great. It was so great, in fact, that Liam Gallagher said he enjoyed it and sounded “mega”.

AI is transforming the music industry by providing new ways to create, distribute, and consume music, and by unlocking new possibilities for artists, producers, and listeners alike, but it’s also bringing musicians who are dead, back.

Take for example a new AI built performance of ‘Promises I Can’t Keep’ by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park. While, in the original version, Mike sang the entire song; the AI has now put Chester Bennington in the mix to sing the chorus and it’s really eerie sounding because it really is just that good.

A Linkin Park page shared this and said the following: “No comment on this really, but this is going to become prevalent sooner rather than later for artists that have passed as well as current artists. The Drake/Weeknd AI song went viral last week. No idea how this will be regulated over time but don’t be shocked if you see it.”

Obviously, purists didn’t like it at all and were not going to give much credit to the AI for building this out, but what do you think? Is AI over stepping boundaries by bringing back artists who aren’t here anymore? It this all too much way too quickly?
