KISS Humiliated After Bad Stadium Ticket Sales

It is with heavy hearts that we report the anticipated cancellation of the forthcoming KISS gig in Plymouth. The iconic glam-metal rockers were scheduled to grace the stage at Plymouth Argyle’s Home Park stadium on June 3, but sources suggest that the gig promoter will soon announce its unfortunate demise.

As reported by Plymouth Herold, devout fans of the legendary make-up-clad group, known for their theatrical performances, this news will undoubtedly come as a disappointment. With a career spanning five decades, KISS has left an indelible mark on the music industry.

The reasons behind the cancellation remain unclear at this time, but it seems to be the latest in a string of musical events falling victim to the challenges faced by music enthusiasts in the South West region. High living costs and soaring inflation have strained the pockets of music fans, resulting in the cancellation of other festivals.

Tickets for the ill-fated Plymouth gig, where KISS would have been supported by the Welsh metallers Skindred, are still being advertised on various websites, including the official KISS World page. They range in price from £59 to £70, depending on the seating location within the 16,000-capacity football stadium.

To add insult to injury, several VIP experiences are also being promoted, including a meet-and-greet package priced at over £1,100 and a soundcheck package where lucky fans would witness the seasoned rock stars tuning up for just over £400. According to KISS World, the Plymouth gig was strategically placed between shows in Columbus, Ohio, and Birmingham, UK.

KISS embarked on their farewell tour in 2019, but due to the devastating impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, it was abruptly halted. This year, the tour resumed with additional dates added.

As we put an end to the anticipated Plymouth gig, let’s hope that this won’t happen again as KISS have been underfire for having one too many “final” shows canceled.
